In 2006 Penumbra Music released a set of three 7" singles collectively titled LOST DATA. All six sides featured new solo compositions performed by Hal Rammel on the amplified palette.
"I have gone into the outer darkness of scientific and philosophical transactions and proceedings, ultra-respectable but covered with the dust of disregard. I have descended into journalism. I have come back with the quasi-souls of lost data. They will march." - Charles Fort, 1919. . .

In 2007 LOST DATA expanded into an ensemble project exploring the manipulation of palette-generated sounds in small group improvisation. Participants in the LOST DATA Project have included John Corbett, Jon Mueller, Lou Mallozzi, and Jim Schoenecker in performances at Corbett vs. Dempsey (Chicago), Woodland Pattern Book Center (Milwaukee), Elastic (Chicago), and the Haggerty Museum of Art (Milwaukee).
The LOST DATA Project's September 2007 trio performance (with Hal Rammel, Jon Mueller, and Jim Schoenecker at Milwaukee's Haggerty Museum of Art ) can be heard at this link:
