* Recent publications:
"Invention's Perspective on Improvisation" has been published on the READ pages of Crouton Music's website. This is a revised version of an essay that originally appeared in Rubberneck magazine in 1996. The ariticle discusses the history of several musical instruments (including the triolin, the palette, and the devil's fiddle) and offers some perspective on extended technique and improvisation.
